BONE has been rocking the Wasatch Front and beyond for over three decades! BONE has basically evolved into two separate bands since late 2020, but with mix and match flexibility and collaboration. And, those two groups could conceivably be tabbed BONE IV and BONE V, if we're talking band iterations. Bassist Extraordinaire, vocalist and founding member Preston Kofoed is the constant factor. BONE V = BONE with Gina Osmond Yes, that Osmond family! Uncle Donny and Aunt Marie are among Gina's famous lineage! Gina would most likely be fronting a lineup comprised of Preston Kofoed on bass and vocals, guitarist-vocalist Bruce Holt, keyboardist and vocalist Kevin Brock, with Rich Bonaduce of FOX 13 fame (and cousin to Danny "Partridge" Bonaduce) on drums and vocals. Or Johnni Kennicott. Johnni is a switch-hitting drummer-vocalist for V and IV. Kevin shares the stage with IV on occasion, as does Bruce. Rich, too, come to think of it.... BONE IV usually features Preston on bass, Johnni on drums, keyboardist and vocalist Grady Garrard, guitarist-vocalist Doug Worthen and Mark Madia on vocals, But again, interchangeability. The common thread? Everyone sings, both lead and backing harmony vocals, so BONE could be (and has been) booked as a threesome. Fun is always a part of the equation. That's just the BONE way! Another former BONE Drummer, Rett Christensen, has graciously agreed to re-join the band to fill-in for Jack Mathson, who has some different dreams to chase down for a while. No doubt we'll all miss that other Evanstonian/Wyomingite, (especially me ~ Mark ~ now the solo Wyoming member, without a road trip partner) but we also wish nothing but the absolute best to Jack! We're sure he'll will drop in whenever possible, like Johnni Kennicott has done, but we're jacked to have Rett back, too! Our website(s) and social media presences will soon reflect the current line-up and fill-ins, but that's just it. Former band members, musicians the band has jammed with in former bands and just good ol' friends seem to be a part of most every BONE performance, unless not allowed by a venue who hires us. We love for friends to sit in for a few, sing a lead provide a harmony, whatever -- that's just the BONE Band way!
